We are often asked why someone should purchase a LIMBAS Enterprise Server if the Community Edition is available for no fee. Along this is the question what are the differences between both versions or other comparable products.

The simple answer is:
The LIMBAS Community Edition comes with no guarantee, support, migration/update concept or backwards compability for your applications. You are responsible for maintaining your solutions for the various versions of LIMBAS Community Edition and in case for maintaining your particular LIMBAS code base as well.

If you are capable of mangaging the above mentioned services with your own company or with  partners you are perfectly fine to use the LIMBAS Community Edition as delivered by the project to build your applications on it.
