We present our new Release LIMBAS Version 1.11
As from April you can test our new release Limbas Version 1.11.

Limbas 1.11 - Release Notes:

General features:

  • Reading and writing metadata to and from PDFs
  • Expansion module for the use of GoogleEarth
  • Automated OCR identification of documents with concurrent indexing

Operator Convenience:

  • Performance enhancement for even quicker working
  • Advanced auditing mechanisms to plausibility for data input
  • Even simpler versioning of files with "Copy/Paste"
  • The browser compatibility has been increased, now it supports IE / Firefox / Safari
  • New Layout "Octopus" available

Document-Management-System DMS:

  • New context menu for quick information to metadata / versioning / OCR
  • Dealing with files has been further facilitated: Folders can now, like files, be selected / copied / deleted / renamed.....
  • Download files/folders now also recursively possible
  • In the file favorites folders can be filed away
  • Improved upload functionalities

Administration:

  • Periodic Jobs, the Jobsystem can now be used for self-defined tasks (including index / OCR)
  • New Form Element, with which Snapshot tables can easily be integrated
  • Language module: language content can be differenced for JavaScript/PHP
  • Rights system: clearer selection of groups and sub-groups
  • SOAP interface expanded: Tables and field names as identifiers can be directly used in variables
